Currently Head of Operations at The Coalfields Regeneration Trust in England, Andy has worked for the Trust for twenty years and is experienced in community regeneration, project development and appraisal, programme design and?management, strategy and policy development and stakeholder?consultation with particular reference to the social and economic regeneration of deprived neighbourhoods. 

The focus of our work over the last twenty years has been to invest in former mining communities and address many of the challenges that still remain following the rapid closure of the coal industry from the mid-eighties. Goldthorpe is in one of our coalfield heartlands and we have been involved in various initiatives over the years from supporting local voluntary and community sector organisations, working with children and young people, investing in community facilities and supporting the heritage and culture within the town. Our aspiration is for Goldthorpe to thrive, create opportunities for its residents and not be disadvantaged by the legacy of the past.
