To outline to Cabinet the progress made in regard to the pre-construction development work undertaken on The Seam Digital Campus development and to seek approval for the next stage of design development to RIBA stage 3. It will also seek approval to run a procurement to appoint a construction contractor for The Seam.

Consultation process
The land uses for the Seam Digital Campus (known as the Courthouse Campus) was part of the Local Plan consultation. Consultation has also been undertaken with key stakeholders to develop design to RIBA 2, including Barnsley College, DMC business tenants and the Tech Town stakeholders. Public consultation will be undertaken Feb 22 on the plans and principles to date and feed into a RIBA 2 plus design in March 22.
