Unpaid Carers Strategic Review - Barnsley Carers Strategy and Business Case for Commissioning of a new Carers Support Service
Following the strategic review of unpaid carers support in Barnsley the report seeks the following:-
· Cabinet to approve the Barnsley Carers Strategy 2022, the proposed priority outcomes, and the next steps to develop a multi-agency delivery plan to achieve the strategy’s key aims and priorities.
· Cabinet to approve the proposals to re-model the Barnsley Carers Support Service based upon the key priority outcomes of the Barnsley Carers Strategy and findings from the review of the current service and authorise officers within BMBC to approach the market to procure the new service.

This also includes two public carers consultation surveys and face to face meetings with the Carers Forum and meeting with the Barnsley Send Parent and Carers Alliance.
