Decisions

To delegate the authority currently reserved to the Head of Highway’s under Paragraph 15, subsections (af) and (ba) of Part 3 of the Council’s Constitution to the Head of Strategic Transport.

RESOLVED that Cabinet:-

1.    Accept the Sport England Development Investment Grant Offer of over a two year period, if successful and an investment grant is offered; and

2.    Agree to support the Big Idea framework and associated spend of the grant; and

3.    Agree to submit the Sport England Full Investment Grant application to follow the initial development award; and

4.    Accept the Sport England Full Investment Grant Offer if successful.

To inform cabinet of the results of the Experimental Traffic Regulation Order (ETRO) introduced to make changes to the waiting and loading restrictions in Barnsley Town Centre. The Council’s Traffic Team requests that Cabinet considers their recommendation to make the restrictions into a permanent Traffic Regulation Order (TRO).

RESOLVED that Cabinet agree that the Head of Highways & Engineering be authorised to arrange for the Traffic Regulation Order to be made and published to retain permanently the waiting and loading restrictions in Barnsley Town Centre as described in the report and as detailed in the plan shown in Appendix 1.

RESOLVED that Cabinet approve the updated Policy Statement and endorse the updated Risk Management Framework.
