Members were advised that current funds within the Penistone Working Together Grant pot were limited and that additional funds could be added from withing the existing Penistone Area Council budget if demand required this. A discussion around the need to be able to respond to the impacts of the rising cost of living was held and the Area Council Manager advised that there were sufficient funds to be able to respond in the New Year if needed.

RESOLVED:-

i)      That the report be noted; and

ii)    That the recommendation to approve a 6-month waiver to the existing Clean Green and Tidy contract from April 2023, at a cost of £50,000 to be allocated from the Penistone Area Council 2023/24 Budget be agreed.
