The Area Council Manager gave an update in respect of the workshop held on 24^th February 2016 to discuss the future direction of the North East Area Council.  It was felt that the four identified priorities of the Environment, Health and Wellbeing, Youth Provision and Economy and Regeneration, should be retained but should be rebadged in plain English.  It was also agreed that £10,000 should be devolved to each of the Ward Alliances from the Area Council budget.

RESOLVED that

(i)         the report, including the review of projects and associated outputs and outcomes be received and noted;

(ii)        the Environment priority be renamed ‘Love Where You Live,  Health and Wellbeing renamed ‘Healthy Lifestyles’, Youth Provision be renamed as ‘Young People’ and that Members give consideration to a new name for the Economy and Regeneration priority

(iii)       £10,000 be devolved from the Area Council budget to each Ward Alliance and that

(iv)       the 2015-16 Area Review should be printed and distributed as appropriate.
