The Head of Planning and Building Control submitted a report on Planning

Application 2019/1244 (land South of Darton Lane, Darton, Barnsley).  Clarification with regard to the expiration of the consultation period for this application was sought, as it appears that the consultation period listed on Planning Explorer expires on 28^th July 2021.  Reassurances were given that this application has been subject to several consultation exercises but nevertheless if any further consultation responses are received within the one day remaining, they will be fully considered before any Board decision is implemented. 

Ms Emma Gomersal addressed the Board and spoke in favour of the officer recommendation to approve the application.

Mr Mark Tuck addressed the Board and spoke against the officer recommendation to approve the application.

RESOLVED that:

(i)            the application be approved in accordance with the Officer

Recommendation subject to the completion of a S106 Agreement in accordance with the terms set out in the report, and,

(ii)          the decision not to be issued until after the 28th July 2021 to consider any additional representations received by that date. If these additional representations raise any issues not originally considered, then those matters to be taken to the Chair of Planning Board to consider them.
