Minutes:
IT BE NOTED, IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE RECOMMENDATION OF THE MONITORING OFFICER ABOVE:-
(i) that approval be given to the proposal to proceed with a direct award to CityFibre for the leasing of the wholesale fibre deployed in all existing BMBC buildings subject to the establishment of a collaboration agreement between the two parties, as detailed in the report now submitted;
(ii) that the authority be delegated to the Executive Director Place and Executive Director Core Services to undertake a necessary due diligence leading the establishment of a collaborative agreement with CityFibre which will facilitate the proposed deployment of full fibre within Barnsley; and
(iii) that approval be given to the investment to fund the leasing of the wholesale fibre deployed for the use in existing BMBC buildings.
