‘That this Council change from the existing Cabinet system to the Committee structure as was previous which is a more democratic system allowing all 63 Members to play a part in decision making.’
Minutes:
A Motion Submitted in Accordance with Standing Order No 6 was;
Moved by Councillor P Birkinshaw – Seconded by Councillor Gillis:
‘that this Council change from the existing Cabinet System to the Committee Structure as was previous which is a more democratic system allowing all 63 Members to play a part in decision making’.
Upon being put to the Vote, the Motion was lost.
In accordance with Standing Order No 18(b) at the request of Councillor P Birkinshaw, supported by more than 10 other Members, a recorded vote was taken on this Motion.
