The Area Council Manager updated member with regard to the Housing and Migration Officer post. Despite a recruitment exercise, the post remains vacant. The job description has now been amended which it is hoped will attract more candidates who might not have a qualification but do have experience with this type of work. Members felt that there is an urgent need to fill the post as the problems which existed previously remain and need to be tackled proactively. The closing date for applications is 1st November, with interviews taking place shortly afterwards.
