Information about Health and Wellbeing Board

The Health and Wellbeing Board is a committee of the Council. Its job is to agree the Health and Wellbeing Strategy and work with all organisations to join up health and social care for the Borough. It is made up of elected members and officers of the Council, representatives of Barnsley's Clinical Commissioning Group of GPs and other health providers, and the local Health Watch, which represents the interests of patients and service users. People from other organisations that have an impact on health and wellbeing, such as the District Police Commander, also attend the meetings.

 

The Board agreed the Health and Wellbeing Strategy for 2021 to 2030 at its meeting on 7 October 2021 and you can view it here

 

Arrangements are in place for the public to ask questions at the Health and Wellbeing Board.  These must not exceed 100 words in length.  General questions must be submitted no less than 10 clear days in advance of the meeting in question.  Questions relating to any item on the agenda for a meeting must be submitted by 12noon on the day after the agenda is issued.  Send any questions to the Council Governance Unit by email governance@barnsley.gov.uk or in writing to PO Box  634, Town Hall, Barnsley, S70 9GG.
