Change to Council Election Cycle Consultation RECOMMENDED TO COUNCIL:-
1.
That the responses to the public consultation and
the strong response that the council should change its election
cycle to whole council elections moving forward be noted. 2. That Council acknowledges the clearly expressed will of the public and therefore resolves to change the council’s election cycle to whole council elections with the first such election to take place on 7 May 2026.
3. That the Chief Executive be authorised to notify the Local Government Boundary Commission of this decision in line with statutory requirements. |
