The Council holds the freehold of the Alhambra Shopping Centre and together with Avison Young, (the Fixed Charge Receiver) requires an options appraisal to identify and assess a number of possible uses to ensure the Alhambra Centre is financially sustainable for the long-term.
Allocate £25,000 for the commissioning of an external options appraisal.
Support is required which is not available from internal resources
The Council, in partnership with Avison Young, the appointed receivers, is actively looking to improve the long-term value of the Alhambra Shopping Centre against a broad range of economic and social metrics. This study is required to inform future decisions.
