To tender the provision of a new ice cream vendor concession to be based in Cannon Hall parklands.
An ice cream vendor will improve the visitor offer to the site, offer a variety of catering options to visitors and increase visitor dwell time on site. BMBC will also gain commercial income from concession franchise fees.
A previous vendor’s contract has come to an end and the business case sets out that this is an alternative to a direct replacement.
The only alternative course of action would be for BMBC to not re-tender the offer. This would result in the loss of significant annual income for the authority, and would diminish the visitor offer on site at Cannon Hall park.
