To extend the provision of COVID-19 Marshals for until 31 March 2022 using the current provider.
To support our response to the COVID-19 pandemic District Enforcement provide COVID-19 Marshals and are also a resourcing service in relation to enforcement officers in the Area Councils. COVID-19 Marshals already cover a wide range of COVID-19 duties, understand our local communities and COVID-19 response requirements. Marshals are already trained on key elements of relevant regulations and equipped to respond.
There is significant urgency in maintaining resources to manage actions in line with the COVID-19 Roadmap and limited time to conduct a procurement process so District Enforcement will continue to provide those resources.
