Due to the need to ensure the current system is supported and, because of its key role in aiding the wider telephony strategy, it is recommended that the Eclipse support & maintenance is renewed. The contract is for a one-year support & maintenance extension plus a consultancy day and grants continual support for agile working.
The contract with Datatrack expires on the 31/03/2021. Datatrack are the providers of the Eclipse Call Management System which is used to report on telephony usage across the Council so that we can accurately assign telephony resource and aid in targeting our reduction in telephony.
The renewal will support the requirement for reporting from 3CX as well as the remaining Siemens PABXs.
Eclipse reporting also allows us to analyse what is still in use so that we can continue with telephony decommissioning work safely.
There are no viable alternatives at this time due to the urgent requirements and length of extension required.
