The Consultant Fleet Business Partner will support the Fleet Operations Manager to implement a digitalised Fleet Management system.
The current Fleet maintenance process is paper driven and reliant on administrative processes. The implementation of a Fleet Management System will digitalise many of the processes, improving efficiency of scheduling, maintenance, parts supply and accounting. The Fleet operation is extremely busy, the support of a Fleet Business Partner will help implement the new system allowing the small leadership team to maintain business as usual through the transition. Consultation has included the Fleet Leadership Team and BU6 Service Director.
Option 3 recommended:
1 Do nothing: Not recommended Fleet will continue to work predominantly as a reactive service with inefficient processes
2 Consider bidding for funding for a permanent role: Not recommended the timeframe is too lengthy and no funding currently available for a new role, equally once the process is embedded the existing Fleet leadership team numbers will be sufficient
3 Recruit a Consultant Fleet Business Partner for approx. 12 months: Experienced Consultants are conversant with these new Fleet Management Systems are available and will aid the effective implementation with this type of process improvement.
