Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Council have secured funding from the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) to explore Covid vaccine hesitancy and health and social inequalities within migrant communities. The Institute for Public Policy Research (IPPR) has been identified as the provider who will undertake research within the migrant communities to support the project. Due to the time-limited nature and a need to satisfy funding requirements, this has been deemed an emergency situation and Barnsley Council’s Senior Management Gold Team agreed to expedite the process on the 22/07/2021.
