To accept the additional grant funding from Sheffield City Region totalling £64,298 to fund the revenue and capital expenditure incurred with the delivery of the various schemes mentioned above.
Reasons for the decision:
On 9th May 2020 the DfT announced £250m emergency funding for Active Travel in 2020/21.
On 25th June 2020, the DfT approved the Strategic Outline Business Case and a grant of £241,000 was awarded for BMBC. This was emergency funding for Active Travel Routes including Town Centre Walking & Cycling Enhancements and Principal Towns & Routes to Barnsley.
On 4th March 2021 a Change Request was approved to vary the Agreement by £64,298 bringing the total grant allocation awarded to BMBC to £305,298.
