Approval to extend the current contract for a further 12 months.

Reasons for the decision:

The Council has a statutory duty to have a compliant and robust traffic network, safe for the public 24 hours a day. The Council has a contract for Traffic Signals and Intelligent transport systems with Siemens PLC, incorporating the design, supply, installation and maintenance of the borough’s highways traffic equipment, including emergency call outs and repairs.

 

The approximate budget for this contract is £500,000 for 2021/22.

 

The contract expires on 31st March 2021 and is being extended for 1 year to 31st March 2022.
