Purpose:

To enable Cabinet to consider and endorse the Management Action Plan to be submitted to the DfE, outlining the Local Authority’s proposals for addressing the cost pressures caused by rising demand for SEND school places and to bring expenditure within the High Needs Block within budget.

Decision:

RESOLVED that Cabinet endorses the proposals of the Local Authority’s Dedicated Schools Grant (High Needs Block) Management Plan (2021-2025) for submission to the Department for Education (DfE) in accordance with the key actions indicated in Paragraph 4.24 of the report.
